Given the following data, in the United States alone, a minimum of 1.3 million crashes, 657,000 injuries and 8,478 fatalities will be avoided each year (actual safety improvement realized has the potential to be much greater, see charts below):

With full scale industry wide deployment of
Virtual GuardianTM U.S. patent 6,240,346, World Accountability's safety improvement projections are based upon the conservative assumption that 1 out of every 5 crashes will be avoided through an improvement in driver awareness and accountability. When referencing statistics reported by the National Automotive Sampling System (NASS), the General Estimates System (GES), the Fatality Analysis Reporting System (FARS)* documenting an annual average for 11 years from 1988 through 1998, the above figures and following charts are calculated using a 20% annual reduction.
